This year 2009 was our most eventful and successful, on Saturday 1st August we won the Grand Final, a fantastic achievement for the club.
At the beginning of the season the clubs committee made the decision to move its base from Shooters Hill to Well Hall and work in partnership with Blackheath. The partnership is designed to encourage growth across the full spectrum of the club from youth development to open age and set in motion plans that will ensure the club is capable of submitting an application for inclusion to the RLC Premier League next season and the National League in two to three years time.
Mears the club sponsors have supported the clubs decision and have agreed to sponsor the development of the now derelict stand at Well Hall to its former glory as part of the Admirals commitment to Blackheath.
The move offers the club a great opportunity to develop, one that could not be over looked if we were to fulfill our ambitions for the sustained growth of Rugby League in the southeast. Both the Admirals and Blackheath are looking forward to working together to develop the game. There will be some stiff challenges ahead that we are now confident can be achieved.
